When I was a little girl, my parents and grandparents always bought an enormous birthday cake for each of my birthdays. We then had it delivered to the photo studio where my uncle Garo photographed me. This was a dreadful ordeal for me at the time because I hated having my picture taken. But now when I look back at the photos, I truly appreciate the effort and time it all took.

So I wanted to make Kara’s first birthday truly special. I looked for almost 2 weeks before I finally found the right place Pink Cake Box in New Jersey to make this ridiculous huge cupcake birthday cake for her! I was so excited, I was besides myself. I was beginning to think I wouldn’t be able to pull it off. But the owner at Pink Cake Box got it made exactly as planned and delivered ON TIME for the party! Thanks guys! I truly enjoyed it.
Pink Cake Box was officially founded in 2005 by Anne “Khoobiar” Heap who was working out of a restaurant kitchen at the time. Less than two years later, Anne’s success led to the opening of her very own specialty cake boutique in Denville, NJ. Anne’s cakes have been featured in Modern Bride, Brides NJ, NJ Bride, InStyle Weddings, Bride & Bloom Magazine, Brides Magazine, People Magazine, Elegant Bride, The Knot Magazine, and several other local magazines.
So from a truly entrepreneurial perspective, as you can imagine, I was both impressed and amazed at her talent and success.

Here is another idea I was contemplating: Cupcake Cake. It was more affordable and quicker to make, but fortunately, they were able to make the cake on time.
